At CIC Neurosciences, we conduct three types of studies: therapeutic studies (both industry-sponsored and academic), and pathophysiological studies aimed at unraveling the fundamental mechanisms of diseases in order to advance our understanding and improve patient care.

Industrial therapeutic studies

Academic therapeutic studies

Pathophysiological Studies

ION717-CS2

A Phase I/IIa study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic profile, and pharmacodynamics of ION717 administered intrathecally in patients with prion disease

🎯: To evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of ION717 compared with a placebo.

📝: Currently being monitored

PLEXFOLD

Deep intracerebral folate deficiency as a clinical model for identifying MRI and biochemical signatures of choroid plexus dysfunction

🎯: Identify a clinical, radiological, proteomic, and metabolic profile indicative of the
dysfunction of the choroidal plexuses based on observations of LHIPFOLD patients as an experimental model.
