Our Infrastructure

Our Equipment

The CIC’s offices were relocated to the first floor of the ICM building in 2011, bringing them closer to the research teams, technical facilities, and business incubator at the Brain Institute, thereby facilitating the development of translational research.

We offer comprehensive facilities to ensure optimal support for participants and projects, including dedicated spaces for medical care, consultations, blood draws, and treatment management.

The CIC collaborates with numerous platforms, research institutions, healthcare services and F-CRIN networks. These interactions are essential for the proper conduct of clinical trials. Close ties exist between the CIC and:

The Brain Institute's platforms

These platforms are equipped with advanced technologies such as brain imaging via CENIR or exploring real-world behavior via the platform PRISME (https://institutducerveau-icm.org/en/platforms-technology-apps/). CENIR has two 3T MRI scanners (Siemens Prisma and Cima X), one 7T MRI scanner (Siemens), and one PET-MRI scanner. The DNA and Cell Bank https://institutducerveau.org/resource-platform-biological-DNA-bank-cells allows samples to be stored for later analysis.

Partner services of the hospital group

CIC works very closely with Reqpharm (https://pitiesalpetriere.aphp.fr/reqpharm/) which is the pharmacy dedicated to clinical trials at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital or other healthcare departments involved in patient care (Sleep Disorders Department, EFR, etc.).

Partner research centers or hospitals

The CIC works in partnership with other organizations on specific projects. This collaboration allows for the pooling of resources and expertise (e.g., CEA Paris-Saclay / https://www.cea.fr/paris-saclay/Pages/Home.aspx) and/or access to a specific population of patients eligible to participate in clinical trials (Example: Hôpital National des Quinze-Vingts / https://www.15-20.fr)

The F-CRIN Networks

These networks are national networks recognized by the National Research Agency. The CIC works in close collaboration with thematic networks in neurology, such as NS-PARK (https://parkinson.network) for Parkinson's disease, ACT4ALS (https://portail-sla.fr/act4als-mnd/) for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or FCRIN4MS (https://www.fcrin4ms.org) for multiple sclerosis. The latter two are housed within the CIC.
